VXL 90 500g + Ex_1kg

Xioneer VXL 90 1.75mm 500g & VXL EX 1kg Bundle

Xioneer VXL 90 filament is a alkali-soluble support material suitable for intricate 3D printed structures to support any overhanging or undercutting elements on your model. Typically printed with low infill, it is easily washed away from your model. VXL 90 printed supports can be dissolved by VXL EX.

BETTER ALTERNATIVE TO PVA/PVOH/BVOH

Conventional support materials often come with disadvantages when used. They absorb humidity, become sticky, have poor thermal stability and are usually only compatible with a few model materials. This can make handling such filaments considerably more difficult. Xioneer VXL 90 filament addresses exactly these problems to make your 3D printing easier.

EASY TO USE

Xioneer VXL 90 ensures a more comfortable printing experience. Due to its alkali-soluble property, it is far less sensitive to humidity. Although dry storage is recommended, the material can easily handle a few days if not stored airtight. This is also the main reason why VXL offers more reliable printing than PVA, PVOH or BVOH. Not only is the risk of a clogged nozzle minimized, but there is also no foaming after extrusion from the nozzle. Adhesion to both the print bed and the model is increased.

WHICH MATERIALS ARE COMPATIBLE WITH VXL 90?

Xioneer VXL filament was tailored to widely used materials in the 3D printing market. Depending on which material you want to print, there is a suitable Xioneer VXL filament. The All-Rounder of the Xioneer VXL filament range is the VXL 90. This filament is particularly compatible with materials such as PETG, PVB, TPU, TPC, PCTG, ABS, ASA, HIPS, PA and PET.

WHY PREFER Xioneer VXL EX RATHER THAN PLAIN WATER FOR DISSOLVING

Water-soluble support materials tend to degrade quickly inside the nozzle, leaving a clogged print head. They rapidly absorb humidity from the surrounding air. Also, water-soluble supports are incompatible with a wide range of materials. Thus, making the alkaline soluble Xioneer VXL an ultimate choice rather than conventional PVA, BVOH or PVOH. Xioneer VXL EX is specifically to dissolve alkaline soluble support materials like VXL 90 quickly and easily to keep the entire process as comfortable as possible.

SAFE TO USE

Xioneer VXL EX is comparable to typical household chemicals such as washing powder. When dissolved in water, it has a pH of around 11.5 and is marked as irritant. And just like your daily washing powder the VXL EX should also be handled with care. Therefore, we advise our customers to always wear gloves and safety goggles when working with the VXL EX.

USAGE

Basically, an ideal dissolving result is achieved if you add at least as much VXL EX to the solution as there is support material to be dissolved. In addition, the concentration of VXL EX in the dissolving bath should not be below 2.5 %. As long as the amount of dissolved and still to be dissolved support material does not exceed the amount of added VXL EX, it is also possible to reuse the dissolving bath. It should be noted that after saturation the dissolving time will increase noticeably. In this case it is advisable to prepare a fresh solution. If the solution is saturated, it is recommended to add 5-10 g citric acid per litre for neutralisation. As soon as foaming starts, a neutral pH value is reached.

ECO-FRIENDLY

VXL EX is non-caustic and safe to use. Mixed with water, it produces a mildly alkaline solution for dissolving the supports 3D printed with the VXL 90 filament. Normally, the saturated solution can be disposed of in household drain. Please check the requirements with your local sewage treatment plant beforehand. Before disposal, the solution can be neutralised with citric acid.
